Am in process of moving to Dallas from Brooklyn, NY (to my huge surprise). Local food is BIG interest/concern of mine. So I was befuddled myself to visit Whole Foods and find few local food stuffs.

I plan to do a LOT of research into the locavore scene when I get back to Dallas in early March. Meanwhile, I'm putting it out there that:

1--I'd love to join a food buying club in North Dallas. And if none exists, let's form one!

2--Looking for a CSA, so if you're a member of one, please let me know.

Finally, was glad to find this site and have joined your fan page. Environmental issues very important to me. Aside from my personal bent, for the last 2 years I've done outreach for A Sea Change a film about the ocean and the wet underbelly of climate change, ocean acidification. What I've learned in the process alternatively has had me despairing, raging, and marching.

I'm not going to take issue with the opinions of this article (though I'm tempted), other than to point out that if she had visited downtown on a weekday she would have seen a completely different picture. However, I will make the point that if one is going to publish an article, one should get the facts straight. I noticed the following errors and I am by no means an expert on Waco history: the Waco tornado hit on May 11th, not May 10th, 1953, and the death toll was 144, not 153. These are relatively small errors, true, but along with the grammatical errors, they do indicate a certain lack of attention to detail. Maybe that is why she missed so many of the fine points of Waco.

Well, congratulations to Peter, happy to know D Magazine will acquire such an excellent human being. Now I am little confused, why does your good fortune not allow the ladies of renegadebus to continue? Does this mean D Magazine has wiped out the competition?? Which clearly you all are- your website is fantastic and I really hope continues. Renegadebusdallas is loved by more than just those in Dallas- it is admired by fans no longer living in Dallas, but because of your site, wish they were again. For me, it was not about just the art, music and reviews; it made it worthwhile because it was seen through the eyes of real people, real thoughts and you can tell, it was made with a lot of love- something that is easily lost in the mainstream. I hope that Lucia continues to write, I love her honesty, wit and true gift of not only being an incredible artist, but writing about it- through her eyes, pure and rich. Lucia- we all hope you continue YOUR website and at the same time, best of luck to Peter.
I am not so sure I will stay as tuned in to D Magazine as I do with Renegadebus but I do wish you all great and wonderful things to come.

I've lived in the Dallas area most of my life and felt like I knew the place pretty well. But in the short time since its inception, Renegade Bus has opened my eyes to many great things the city has to offer that I was either not aware of, or that I knew about but had not thoughtfully considered in a meaningful way. At other times, Renegade Bus shed light on a few things the city lacked, spurring open and constructive debate.

Thank you, Renegage Bus. And I look forward to hearing from its founders in the future - although perhaps through different outlets.

I agree, we need to have more going on in the Bishop Arts District to bring in more traffic during the week and to make everyone in the neighborhood feel welcome. A small whole food or organic market would be a great fit for the area.

@Jim: I'd love to see that happen (though not as much as my daughters would). Alas, we will have to wait at least another year for any shot at Glenn.

This is exciting. First thing you need to do at D is get Glenn Arbery back to town to cover theater and film. That's a huge void.

Many thanks to all of you for launching Renegade Bus, and best of luck going forward.
