President Donald Trump has accused special counsel Robert Mueller's investigative team of "meddling" in the upcoming mid-term elections, and blames Democrats for "collusion". A year into his investigation, Mueller's team has indicted four Trump associates, three of whom have pleaded guilty to lying to officers during the investigation.

Earlier Tuesday, Trump lashed out at the "rigged Russia Witch Hunt" on Twitter, casting Mueller's probe as partisan and saying it could amount to "MEDDLING" in this year's midterm elections to the detriment of Republicans.

Most polls predict a strong Democratic performance in the midterms in November, potentially producing a "blue wave" and handing control of the House and even the Senate back to the opposition party. Not counting additional spending by the Justice Department, Mueller and his team have spent a total of $7.7 million since his appointment just over a year ago.

In announcing Comey's firing in 2017, the White House initially cited his handling of the Clinton email investigation, seizing on the FBI director's decision to divulge details of the probe to the public during her campaign against Trump.

"Who's going to give back the young and attractive lives (and others) that have been devastated and destroyed by the phony Russia Collusion Witch Hunt?"

During the campaign, Mr Trump claimed Mrs Clinton should have been prosecuted harshly for lax security in her government e-mail practices when she was Secretary of State.

Curry scored a three-pointer as the Warriors opened up a one-point lead. LeBron James was a bit more straightforward with his opinion. Durant averaged 30.4 points per game over that series.

Trump has questioned Mueller's ability to conduct an impartial investigation and frequently has referred to the probe as a "witch hunt". "He knows exactly what he did and what he didn't do, and he's been very clear from day one that there was no collusion".

The Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking poll found that 52 percent of the respondents said Trump is not doing a good job, compared with 47 percent who said they are pleased with his performance.

The former NY mayor, who received a less-than-flattering birthday greeting from his hometown Monday, added that Trump's frequent tweets bashing the probe are working to his benefit. Some of Mueller's actions remain under seal. Manafort claimed Mueller should not be able to prosecute him because the charges do not stem directly from the purported Russian election interference.

Special counsel Mueller himself has been a registered Republican in the past and was first appointed Federal Bureau of Investigation director by President George W. Bush.

" about spying, which he doesn't realize - spying on the Trump campaign", he said.

Giuliani said Tuesday that Mueller's attempts to interview Trump indicated that his probe of possible coordination between Russian Federation and the campaign are nearing its end.
