Ronny Jackson Will Not Return As Trump's Personal Physician

Tester acknowledged in an MSNBC interview that not all of the allegations against Jackson were proven, but that they merited investigation.

President Donald Trump is distorting some of the reasons why his pick to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs, White House physician Ronny Jackson, abruptly withdrew his nomination.

Tom Crosson, a spokesman for the Department of Defense, told The Washington Post that the Pentagon inspector general is examining the scope of the allegations, and which allegations have already been investigated.

The probe threatens to derail Jackson's future with the Navy.

His re-election may come down whether voters see him more as a veterans' advocate or as a thorn in Trump's side. That promotion remains pending with the Senate Armed Services Committee, documents show. Jackson reportedly took control of the second lady's health care without notifying her doctor, then proceeded to brief White House staff on her condition without her consent. The previously unreported incident is the first sign that serious concerns about Ronny Jackson's conduct had reached the highest levels of the White House as far back as September - months before White House aides furiously defended Jackson's professionalism, insisted he had been thoroughly vetted and argued allegations of misconduct amounted to unsubstantiated rumors.

Jackson has served 23 years as a Navy physician, including a tour in 2005 as an emergency medicine physician in Iraq.

Jackson, who also served as White House physician during the Obama administration, was nominated to serve as VA secretary after the previous agency chief, David Shulkin, was fired.

No frostiness in Indo-China ties, says Ram Madhav
Before leaving, PM Modi reciprocated by inviting Xi to India for a similar informal summit next year. They recognised terrorism as common threat and committed to cooperate further on counter terrorism.

"Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson is now on active duty, assigned to the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President".

Last week, Jackson's confirmation hearing was postponed after current and former service members told members of Congress that he drank to excess while on duty, freely passed out prescription drugs and once banged on a female colleague's hotel-room door while intoxicated.

Initially raised by Sen. None of the allegations she allegedly brought forth have been substantiated.

Jackson bowed out last week after Montana Sen.

Trump on Saturday tweeted that Tester is "very dishonest and sick" and should lose the race.

Jon Tester Tries To Move Past Ronny Jackson Controversy The ad doesn't reference the Jackson controversy, but Tester's political consultants must know portraying the Senator as a longtime veterans advocate could help inoculate him from charges of politicizing the Jackson nomination.

With a total population of just over a million Montanans, there are some 100,000 veterans, 10% of the state's population.
