Facebook will launch a new feature on its app later this year that will allow users to create a dating profile and match with potential love interests, the company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced at the annual F8 conference held in San Jose on Tuesday.

"There are 200 million people on Facebook who list themselves as single, so clearly there's something to do here", Zuckerberg said. He promised that Facebook was making "good promise" on fighting fake news, but also admitted that some of these problems could never really be solved.
As part of its efforts to tackle the issue, the social network is carrying out an audit of other apps and has restricted developers' access to some of its data.
