Trump won't attend White House Correspondents dinner this year as well

SEE YA! President Trump DITCHES White House Press Dinner for Second Year

"It's unlikely I will do the White House Correspondents dinner this year", Trump said during a taped appearance on WABC's "Bernie and Sid in the Morning".

"I sort of feel like the press is so bad, and so fake", he added.

Trump became the first president since Ronald Reagan to skip the dinner a year ago.

The dinner, an annual feature in Washington since 1921, is billed as a celebration of the First Amendment.

The decision is no surprise given Trump's relationship with the media.

Trump has lambasted liberal media outlets, including The New York Times, CNN, ABC, and NBC for dishonest coverage of his campaign and presidency.

Talev said that White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders would be representing the Trump administration at the head table.

Salman Khan, Bollywood superstar, bailed in poaching case
As he was transferred from Jodhpur to Sirohi on Saturday morning, it was not sure whether he would hear the bail application. Salman's alleged accomplices in the crime, Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan , Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre were set free.

Trump skipped the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in 2017.

.

He rented Capitol Hill accommodation from the wife of an energy lobbyist past year at the below-market rate of US$50 per day and used taxpayer funds for first-class travel. Trump will also encourage other senior administration officials to attend the dinner as opposed to the year prior where no members of the administration were in attendance.

CNN, one of Trump's favorite targets, will be honored with the Merriman Smith Award in broadcasting for a January 2017 report on how the US intelligence community believed the Russian government had information on Trump it could use to blackmail him.

Trump was famously ridiculed by his predecessor Barack Obama in a speech at the dinner in 2011.

"Donald Trump has been saying that he will run for President as a Republican - which is surprising, since I just assumed that he was running as a joke", Meyers told the crowd.

Trump was the first US President not to attend the event since Ronald Reagan skipped it in 1981 when he was recovering from an assassination attempt - but still managed to phone in to the event from his hospital bed.
