Apple working on curved display phones that work with gesture control

Apple to cut down on RFPCB in new OLED iPhones
According to Bloomberg, Apple is working on touchless screen interaction and curved screens for future models. However, if reports are to be believed, Apple may soon come out with a curved display phone that can be controlled without even touching the screen. Apple is also working on new screen technology, called MicroLED, but that's around three to five years away.
Bloomberg's report cautioned that both of these efforts are in their early stages and could be scrapped, noting that the tech "won't be ready for consumers for at least two years, if Apple chooses to go forward with".
The feature shares similarities with the Air Gestures capability that Samsung Electronics Co.
Fresh raids pound Syria's rebel Douma Another eight civilians were killed on Saturday as more bombing raids slammed into the town, the Britain-based Observatory said. Reports suggest the Jaish al-Islam rebels remaining in the city are increasingly split on the question of evacuating .
Apple's future iPhones might look much different-and ditch touch controls altogether. Apple introduced pressure-sensitive displays with the addition of 3D Touch following the release of the iPhone 6s and the Apple Watch, though few apps take advantage of the feature in a way that makes sense. The touchless control feature essentially works as it sounds - allowing you to perform tasks without actually touching the iPhone's display. This iPhone display would have a screen that curves inward gradually from the top to the bottom of the phone. The proximity of fingers to the screen will be taken into account for this new gesture technology.
A faulty connection in the RFPCB module was also cited as the key reason behind the so-called "frozen" iPhone X whose OLED screen would become unresponsive or inaccurate in cold weather. Of course, they've never done an inverted curved screen before, but considering Apple's doing it, they may follow suit. However, Samsung's feature used a motion sensor on the phone's bezel rather than technology built into the display panel. Ben Lovejoy speculated how curved screens could eventually lead to a foldable iPhone, which certainly seems more practical than this.
Apple has been working on their ARM-based processors now available inside iOS devices, the Apple Watch, and the Apple TV. In the meantime, Apple will evolve the technologies it delivered first in the iPhone X, and it will offer more display size and pricing options too.
