"Beforehand, in 2018 and 2019, the e-tron and Mission E production models will be the first electric models of the two premium brands to be launched", the statement read.

The Böllinger Höfe site, which went into commission in 2014, now produces the R8 in both coupe and roadster bodystyles.

We know the second Audi e-tron battery-electric model is likely to be a compact five-door hatchback similar in size to the current A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid.

Confirmation from Audi Sport via its Twitter that the e-tron GT is set to see production in 2020 places it one year ahead of the first planned model to use the PPE platform. Audi will stage the world premiere of the battery-electric vehicle this summer in Brussels.

Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG said, "In 2017, we demonstrated entrepreneurial strength and above all formulated a determined master plan for the coming years".

Today, at its annual press conference, Audi announced that it's primed and ready to introduce a new vehicle every three weeks this year, with 20 new and redesigned models on the way.

May's specific complaints include an assertion that "We Can't Stop " has a "substantially similar hook" to " We Run Things ". May also is aiming to halt performance and distribution of " We Can't Stop ", and seeking a trial by jury for the case.

Then Audi, Jaguar, and Mercedes-Benz rolled out their plans for single long-range electric luxury models to compete with Tesla.

That suggests the future Audi e-tron GT may be low in volume but high in performance.

The luxury brand cut costs by 1 billion euros a year ago as part of a goal to cut spending by 10 billion euros by 2022 to free up funds for its electric-car programme. The two will co-develop new vehicle architectures to better accommodate EV drivetrains.

Last year, the brand managed to cut spending by 1 billion euros thanks to cuts in research and development, sales and other departments to help allot more funding for electric-car production.

For Audi's Action and Transformation Plan, the German car-makers will invest close to €10 billion by 2022 to accelerate future models.
