NFL Rumors: Dolphins To Release Ndamukong Suh As Part Of 'Culture Change'

According to a report from ESPN's Jeff Darlington, the Miami Dolphins plan on releasing star Ndamukong Suh "as early as today".

When Suh likely hits the open market later this week - free agency officially begins Wednesday at 4 p.m. - he'll immediately become one of the top players available.

Suh posted a video on Twitter early Monday from Seattle, where he said he was on his way to work out and that people should look for some "exciting news" later in the day.

Suh has been named First-Team All-Pro four times and appeared in five Pro Bowls during eight seasons with the Lions and Dolphins.

Suh's on-field persona was at times nasty and his off-field persona was at times disagreeable. The Rams have added several key defensive players to their team, with All-Pros Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters, as well as cornerback Sam Shields this offseason. He'll just have to do it for a decent price, not the absurd six-year, $144.375 million deal he signed back in 2015. If the Dolphins make him a post-June 1 cut, they will clear $17 million in cap space.

An entirely new trend we're seeing as well is the massive increase in the number of women who buy online US Powerball tickets from Canada.

The move is being made even though Suh is still one of the best defensive linemen in the NFL.

Darlington notes the move is part of a "culture change" in Miami, the latest in a growing line of big-name departures from the Dolphins.

Timmons' release leaves $7.25 million in dead money on the team's salary cap. The question is where will he end up playing in his ninth season in the league.

Suh, 31, has never won a playoff game, and with him last year, Miami finished 14th in run defense and 26th in sacks last year. That is not to say that either Landry or Suh did but neither of them were/are leaders.
