White powder letter sent to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
According to a report by London's Evening Standard, an anonymous letter addressed to the couple was sent to Kensington Palace on February 12 and officials say it contained racist messages and a suspicious white powder.
The Evening Standard said police were believed to be examining whether the incident was linked to a package containing white powder that was sent to the British parliament on February 13. Other UK media reports said the package also contained a racist letter.
Detectives are investigation "an offense of malicious communication" related to the package.
Ms Markle and Prince Harry are due to ride around a public route to greet crowds in a carriage after they Wednesday at St George's Chapel.
After extensive analysis, the powder was later deemed to be harmless. Markle, a successful actor who recently bowed out of her most prominent role in U.S. legal drama "Suits", is from a mixed-race background. No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.
The following day, another letter was sent to the Palace of Westminster for Home Secretary Amber Rudd.
