The judges have found 205 people guilty of terror-related offences- including the"mastermind behind the abduction of the Chibok girls
The attack on Government Girls Secondary School Dapchi came after sunset when some of the students were breaking their fast which they usually observe on Mondays.
The News Agency of Nigeria said it gathered from Dapchi residents that there was no casualty recorded and no injury sustained as the terrorists sporadically shot in the air to scare people away when they arrived in the town.
Four years ago, Boko Haram attacked Chibok Girls Secondary School in Borno State and abducted 276 girls.
In another report published by Daily Trust, a source in the school reportedly claim that the number of missing students was established in the afternoon after a head count.
The attack was confirmed on Monday, by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Sumonu Abdullmaliki.
The attack comes as Nigeria's military continues its raid on what's left of the militants hideouts in the Northeast.
Last September, a group of more than 100 of the Chibok girls were reunited with their families at a party in the capital Abuja.
Local residents allege that Boko Haram militants had planned to kidnap the schoolgirls.
Boko Haram has been an active insurgent group in North Eastern Nigeria for the past eight years, campaigning for the establishment of an Islamic state.
"Most of them were convicted for professing to belong to the terrorist group, (or) concealing information about the group which they knew or believe to be of material assistance that could lead to the arrest, prosecution or conviction of Boko Haram members", the justice ministry said in a statement.
This is in addition to a 15-year sentence he received earlier for taking part in the kidnappings.
More than 20,000 people have been killed and two million forced to flee their homes since the insurgency began.
Before the release of the 475 suspects, 468 had been freed after they were not found guilty to the charges against them.
