Lawrence has been in the United Kingdom on the promo trail for her latest movie Red Sparrow, kicking off her week on Sunday night at the Baftas. The dress didn't spur a debate about the sartorial choice J Law had made, but rather led people into addressing a deeper issue - one that highlights how male and female actors are treated differently in Hollywood.

"I'm going to be working with this organisation as a part of Represent".

Lawrence was wearing a sleeveless vintage Versace dress. "So I called my mom, and I was like, 'Will you just tell me it's OK?' It was just very vulnerable", the actress added. "That Versace dress was fabulous, you think I'm going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf?"

"A female producer had me do a nude lineup with about five women who were much, much thinner than me", Lawrence recounted at the Elle Women In Hollywood event past year.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Oscar-winning actress featured in a photocall alongside her co-stars; Joel Edgerton, Jeremy Irons, Matthias Schoenaerts and director Francis Lawrence. This past January, Lawrence participated in the Women's March, sharing a photo on Facebook with the caption, "I stand in solidarity for Women's rights, Equal pay, DACA, CHIP".

"Okay so backstage Joanna and I were both about to go out ... and I was like, "Just [say] adjective after adjective, "tall", "beautiful", just say that I'm this and that".

Although the idea the actress would choose money over warmth incensed others too.

Although she is looking forward to some time on her own, the screen beauty is predicting she'll be missing having a guy in her life soon enough.

"This is sexist, this is ridiculous, this is not feminism", she wrote.

Hunger Games star Jennifer revealed her plans while promoting her latest movie Red Sparrow, and shared with Entertainment Tonight her ambitions to "fix" democracy in America while she takes a Hollywood hiatus.
