Jokic triple makes history as Nuggets sink Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo wants LeBron James to sign with Bucks

After a pair of on-court interviews following Denver's 134-123 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, Nikola Jokic had one final stop to make before celebrating a historic night with his teammates in the Nuggets' locker room. With the rare feat, Jokic became the fastest to record a triple-double in National Basketball Association history (14 minutes, 33 seconds of playing time).

Jokic and Antetokounmpo are only the third opposing players to record 30-point triple-doubles in the same game in National Basketball Association history, joining Oscar Robertson and Richie Guerin in 1961, and Johnny Kerr and Dave DeBusschere in 1965. He joined Magic Johnson and James Harden as the third player to ever notch a 30-15-17 night.

Denver scored 74 points in the first half for its second-highest scoring half of the season.

"I'm just playing the same way", Jokic said. "I'm just playing the same way". "Maybe I was a little more aggressive tonight, but I'm playing the same".

The win was the Nuggets' (32-26) ninth in their last 12 games to enter the week off due to the All-Star break with positive momentum. Jokic's numbers in that stretch are incredible as well: 19.4 points 11.3 rebounds and 8.3 assists.

While Jokic's breathtaking first-half performance stole the headlines, the Nuggets claimed victory thanks to a strong all-round display.

Three different Timberwolves had 20-point nights, and it wasn't all of the usual suspects either: Jimmy Butler (24), Jeff Teague (20) and Taj Gibson (28).

Julius Randle had a team-high 23 points for the Lakers, who went winless on a three-game trip to Dallas, New Orleans and Minnesota.

Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokounmpo topped the game scorers with 36 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists.
