McDougal was attending a pool party at the Playboy Mansion in 2006 when she met the future U.S. President.

Trump had been married to Melania for less than two years.

"It was so obvious that a Playmate Promotions exec said, 'Wow, he was all over you-I think you could be his next wife, '" McDougal said. I was into his intelligence + charm.

"Her account provides a detailed look at how Trump and his allies used clandestine hotel-room meetings, payoffs, and complex legal agreements to keep affairs-sometimes multiple affairs he carried out simultaneously-out of the press", Farrow wrote. She would then fly to events all over the country to see Trump and continue the affair. She claims that after that dinner day, they "got naked + had sex". She added that Trump said he had asked his son Eric "who he thought was the most handsome girl here + Eric pointed me".

"With her schedule it was easier to meet him on the plane", Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's communications director, said in a statement.

Trump has denied that affair. As McDougal was getting dressed to leave, Trump did something that surprised her.

"I'm the one who took it, so it's my fault, too". She also says that all of their encounters were consensual. Pointed out his wife's bedroom.

The White House issued a qualified denial in response to the story.

A spokesman for Trump says the report "is an old story that is just more fake news". The first time they allegedly had sex, McDougal said, Trump tried to pay her for it.

After McDougal became famous from Playboy, she began appearing in magazines, including men's magazines as well as modeling magazines, like Vogue.

McDougal told the New Yorker she wanted to go public during the election and sold the lifetime rights to her story for $150,000 to the National Enquirer, owned by Trump ally David Pecker. The implication is that AMI president and CEO David Pecker - who has described himself as "a personal friend" of the president - bought the story for the sole goal of killing it. Jerry George, a former AMI senior editor, told the New Yorker that the company never published anything about Trump without his approval.

"The company said that it did not print the story because it did not find it credible", Farrow wrote about Pecker's media conglomerate. He added: "We never printed a word about Trump without his approval".

McDougal told the magazine she hopes speaking out would convince others to avoid signing similar agreements.

She added: "It took my rights away". While he admitted that her contract with A.M.I. supposedly now allows her to respond to journalistic inquires, she and her lawyers still don't 100 percent believe the letter of the contract and are still afraid to speak out.
