Google Experiment Brings Smart Replies Feature To Popular Messaging Apps

Google is bringing Instant one-tap replies to messaging apps
Right now, only the Android operating system offers Smart Reply functionalities, so it can also serve as a major selling point for Android-based devices. Since it has not yet been availed for all of the users of Android Messages service till the date.
"One of the many projects that we're working on within Area 120 is Reply, which suggests smart replies right in notifications from various chat apps", a Google spokesperson told TechCrunch.
For example, if you are replying to an email that includes the phrase "Is Tuesday good for you?" The smart reply will make reply easier but Google would require access to your history to identify the type of response you most probably like to give.
We first saw a glimpse of Smart Replies in Gmail, before it rolled out to Allo and Android Messages.
The replies take into consideration the user's current location to help with crafting the correct response - like a "yes" or "no" if you've arrived somewhere, or the time it will take you to drive to a given location, for example. There is also the question of whether or not other developers want to integrate Google's features into their apps or if it would be better to develop their own, but what do you guys think? Reply will make sure to get the user's attention even when their phone is in silent mode. The project, simply called "Reply", will allow users who sign up - now available to Android users only - the ability to use "smart replies" in their favorite mainstream chat applications like Facebook Messenger, Skype, Twitter's Direct Message feature, Whatsapp, and Hangouts.
It should be noted that Android Messages, as mentioned, has already received Smart Reply support. Lastly, it has a vacation responder feature that will tell people if users are not working on the basis of checking their calendar. Reply is still very much so in its early development days, and it's entirely possible that Google will scrap the project at any given moment.
Google confirmed the experiment is in the works, but wouldn't speak to other details like the team members building Reply at Area 120 or the time to launch.
Google's new experimental project called Reply is able to bring automated Smart Replies to popular messaging apps.
