Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp refuses to rule out more January transfers

Liverpool, who are now on an 18-game unbeaten run in all competitions, head to south Wales looking for a sixth consecutive win having inflicted a first league defeat on Manchester City last week.

Bottom-placed Swansea City play host to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool as Carlos Carvalhal looks to spark a mid-season revival for the Welsh outfit.

With only 14 goals scored all season, Liverpool should have little to worry about in terms of a threat on their net.

Part of Liverpool's need to focus on themselves and guarding against complacency comes from just how easily they swept Swansea aside in their last meeting, on December 26th, a week after the floundering Swans had sacked manager Paul Clement.

The Reds are desperate to find a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who recently joined Barcelona.

A famous win against runaway league leaders Manchester City last weekend was a fifth in a row for Klopp's men, and an 18 game without a loss in all competitions.

Liverpool top scorer Mohamed Salah and defenders Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan are all expected to recover from illness.

Jordan's King Abdullah tells Pence of concern over…
As part of that solution, he said, east Jerusalem should be the capital of an independent Palestinian state. It was a message Pence relayed Saturday in talks with Egypt's president.

"We don't have Coutinho any more, but there are other players who can stand up".

It was under a month ago when Liverpool put Swansea to the sword, romping to a 5-0 win at Anfield. I see the boys training every day and it looks good, that's the truth, that's why we can play like we played so far. A clean sheet would go some way in boosting the confidence of the beleaguered Swans, and the fans will be hoping that Polish stopper Lukasz Fabianski can step up and shut out one of the most risky attacks in the league.

Roberto Firmino has scored five times in his last three PL appearances against Swansea, including braces in each of the last two. What you have seen since the new manager has come in is a big improvement again: much better results and they won their FA Cup replay during the week. Whilst the Brazilian attacker had been on fine goalscoring form for the Reds, scoring 10 times in his last 11 starts for Liverpool.

The return to fitness of Van Dijk should help, although there are still question marks over goalkeeper Karius, despite Klopp having now installed him as the club's first choice.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain lined up in the midfield three against Manchester City due to his pressing ability, but Adam Lallana is another option and is more comfortable on the ball.

Looking to climb up to third, Liverpool will face off against a Swansea side hoping to close the gap on the drop zone. The problem they have is that everyone is watching them [through a magnifying glass] and saying "still not good enough".
