Tonya Harding Threatens to End Insane Piers Morgan Interview: 'Suits You to Play the Victim'

Dan Shaughnessy asked Nancy Kerrigan about 'I, Tonya.' Here's what she said.

Naturally, it's a comedy. I don't watch elite sports because I'm expecting something pretty.

In ABC's January 11 special, Truth and Lies: The Tonya Harding Story, the former championship figure skater admitted that she knew "something" about the attack on her competitor, before the event took place.

Harding's hard relationship with her mother LaVona "Sandy" Golden is also a major plotline of "I, Tonya". For the next several days in 1994, the investigation and drama played out as it was ultimately discovered that those responsible for the weird attack were connected to rival skater Tonya Harding.

Morgan asked: "You're going to end the interview because I think Nancy is the victim not you?"

"I, Tonya" stars Margot Robbie as Harding and delves into the former skater's life beyond the attack. And though each performer can be amusing and charming, that switch can be flipped quickly to deliver hard-hitting realism that does away with any chance of "I, Tonya" being confused with satire or camp. As the film casts actual physical pain suffered by an actual person as part of the fun, "it becomes increasingly baffling why the filmmakers made a decision to put a comic spin on this pathetic, dispiriting story".

Janney might want to take a look at US and Olympic figure skating records before she says too much more. "The same feels true here". "She was attacked by a man hired by Tonya's abusive ex-husband's mind-bendingly stupid best friend".

Marvel Reportedly Developing Standalone 'Black Widow' Movie
Schaeffer is known for her Black List script The Shower , which is a comedy about an alien invasion during a baby shower. While the movie is unconfirmed and unannounced, Variety reports that Marvel has found a writer for it: Jac Schaeffer .

Nancy remarkably won the silver medal in the Games and, after details of the crime - known as The Whack Heard Round the World due to the fact she was clubbed around the knee with a baton - came to light, Tonya was dished out a sporting lifetime ban. People said that her sin - before her other sins - was not being the Disney princess Barbie doll that the Figure Skating Association demanded of its skaters. "She wouldn't know what a beating was".

"She wasn't embraced for her individuality enough", Janney told USA TODAY in a red-carpet interview. "I'm here to talk about the future and what it means", she said. It was being white trash.

But it wasn't long before Piers began asking about the well publicised assault, arranged by her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly, which appeared to rattle Tonya somewhat. In every racial and ethnic group there are trashy people. "I don't want her anywhere near my son". Who's going to enforce them?

They are so hilariously very bad as depicted by director Craig Gillespie (the criminally underrated "Lars and the Real Girl") that you should be left with one thought by the end of the film: Give the girl a break. They'd say, rightly, that it wallows in stereotypes. Scene by scene, it made me laugh, cringe, get angry, upset, confused, enlightened, entertained, nearly tearful and awed. In all of these films, the young protagonists are, far from being figures of fun, so aglow with internal dignity that they're the contemporary equivalent of medieval paintings of Christ. Is she vindicated? Do we forgive her?

"There's just such good content right now, and we've got the A-list of that", said Tori Baker, executive director of the Salt Lake Film Society.
