SpaceX launches secret satellite Zuma on 1st flight of year

SpaceX-Launched Satellite Isn't Seen in Orbit, Pentagon Says

SpaceX officials said Thursday evening that the launch is targeted for Sunday with the two-hour launch window opening at 8 p.m.

Zuma is a USA government payload delivered by Northrop Gruman, but its objective is classified.

This launch also included a recovery of the first stage booster used with the Falcon 9, which returned to Cape Canaveral and landed at its LZ-1 landing pad after deploying and separating from the second stage.

Time says that SpaceX plans to launch a total of 30 rockets over the year, which is 12 more than last year.

Egypt's Mohammed Salah named African player of the year
Egypt was named National Team of the Year , alongside its Argentinian manager, Hector Cuper , who was voted Coach of the Year . He netted the stoppage time penalty against Congo, which sent the Egyptian team to the world cup competition.

SpaceX tried multiple times at the end of 2017 to launch Zuma, but weather and issues with the Falcon 9 rocket nose cone created delays moving the targeted launch date into 2018.

The Falcon 9 lifted off with the US government's top secret Zuma payload, and its first stage returned to Cape Canaveral for landing around eight minutes later. Such landings are vital to the company as they are being performed to improve the development of its reusable rockets.

The company will be attempting a test launch next week with Musk- also the CEO of Tesla Inc - stating that the payload will comprise the all-electric sports vehicle Tesla Roadster playing rocker David Bowie's Space Oddity.

The Falcon heavy, capable of carrying a payload of more than 54 tons, will set off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.
