Gutekunst has been with the Packers since 1998, when he joined the club as a college scout. Before that, he was Green Bay's director of college scouting from 2012 to 2015. Gutekunst was in the running to replace Ted Thompson in Green Bay, so it can not be ruled out that he will be promoted to general manager. Green Bay has yet to confirm the promotion.
