Carrie Underwood says face injury might make her 'look a bit different'

Carrie Underwood arrives at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Nov. 18 2007
Underwood and her team have been quiet about injuries sustained as a result of the accident, but messages from Fisher and news reports of the event indicted it was more severe than what she shared.
In her note, Underwood "spare [s] you the gruesome details", but does share that, when she underwent surgery the night of her November 10 fall, "the doctor told [Underwood's husband] Mike [Fisher] that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in" (quote via Rare Country).
Carrie canceled a benefit show in Nashville after she fell and hasn't appeared in public since.
Underwood says she had to have between 40 and 50 stitches on her face.
"Underwood admits that she hasn't publicly discussed her accident much in the weeks since because she "[hasn't] been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up". Underwood says she is not quite looking the same.
The country singer said to her fan club members in a post that in addition to undergoing surgery on her wrist, she needed "40 and 50 stitches" to her face.
Underwood continues: "I honestly don't know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful".
Though she's in the thick of things healing-wise, Carrie realizes that she's lucky her accident wasn't much worse. But last week, Carrie posted a picture of herself which showed her face nearly completely covered by a hat and scarf as she enjoyed a snowy break with her husband and their son Isaiah. Unfortunately, her face was also injured, and the recovery for that has been "absolutely brutal". "And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way", she said.
Carrie Underwood may be keeping a low profile, but she's not shying away from time at the gym! She warned her fans that she might look a little bit different even after she has recovered. Share this update with other fans of the Oklahoman.
