Ahed Tamimi taken into questioning

The remand of 17-year-old Ahed Tamimi's mother, who was arrested on suspicion of assault and incitement, was also extended until Thursday.

"A large Israeli force raided our house at dawn and arrested Ahed while she was sleeping in her bed", Basem Tamimi, Ahed's father, told the Anadolu Agency.

Ahed al-Tamimi was taken into custody after Israeli forces raided her home in Nabi Saleh village in the northern West Bank, her father said.

Israeli incitement, led by Israeli army leaders and officials to arrest the girl, was, according to Israeli media, was because the general feeling that the Israeli army was humiliated despite the countless crimes committed by the Israeli army against the Palestinians.

Ahed Tamimi is well-known across Palestine and the Arab world for videos of her, since her childhood, defiantly resisting Israeli soldiers who clash with Palestinians in her village almost every week.

Putin: Trump's call saved Russian Federation from deadly terror attacks this weekend
A special counsel is investigating whether anyone from the Trump campaign colluded. Russian state-run media outlet TASS detailed that Moscow started the call.

"This is what Israeli soldiers have to go through", The Israel Project captioned the footage. "Later, several Palestinian women came out to face the soldiers in order to incite provocation".

The army said a preliminary investigation into the incident showed the soldiers "acted professionally and were not dragged into violence". Bennett noted that under Israeli law, attacking soldiers is punishable by up to seven years in jail.

In August 2015, an IDF soldier was caught on film trying to arrest Ahed's 12-year-old Muhammad Tamimi, who had been throwing rocks during a violent protest.

The sixteen-year-old is a member of a famous activist family from the village of Nabi Saleh, which holds nearly weekly protests against Israeli occupation. The video of her confrontation with the soldiers was widely shared by pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian activists on the web.

In 2012, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan sat down for breakfast with Ahed who won the Turkish Handala Courage Award for challenging the Israeli troops in her village.
