Klopp wants even more from Salah this season

Lovren with his diving header

Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp has extolled the performance of winger Mohamed Salah, believing the Egypt's worldwide star does not need to be rested despite being a mainstay in the Reds' squad all season.

"Not because we want to play intensive football, not only because the period is so intense, but you have to cope with it, we have to deal with the situation and for that we need all the players".

Klopp made three change from the side that drew 0-0 with West Brom earlier this week. "It was a fantastic first goal [from Coutinho], and the third was world class. We gave just the one chance, but that's pretty much normal; I think really well deserved and I enjoyed the performance".

"Liverpool were very good and they've got the players who can hurt you. We talk a lot to the medical department and it is really rare there any issues with him".

Coutinho's goal was the highlight.

Jurgen Klopp, as quoted by the Independent, has highlighted to Salah the importance of him keeping up this magical form for the remainder of the season.

With memories still raw about squandering a 3-1 lead to lose 4-3 in this fixture a year ago, Liverpool didn't let up and Roberto Firmino completed the rout with a diving header off Coutinho's cross in the 66th minute. Nine minutes later they made their domination count with a wonderful solo goal from the same man. Coutinho raced away down the left, weaving past two players with exquisite balance before cutting the ball into the net past goalkeeper Asmir Begovic. Things could have been different, however, had Jermain Defoe found the net in the 39th - when the score was 2-0 - rather than strike the base of the post.
