Abbreviated 'House Of Cards' Season 6 Sans Kevin Spacey Is A Go, Netflix's Ted Sarandos Says

House of Cards to resume production for final season without Kevin Spacey

The sixth and final season of House of Cards, the hit Netflix series thrown into crisis by sexual assault allegations against Kevin Spacey, is to resume production early next year without its star, an industry source told AFP yesterday.

Ted Sarandos, Netflix's chief content officer, revealed the news at UBS's Global Media and Communications Conference in NY today.

Structuring the final season in such a way and abandoning the footage of Spacey seems to be the best thing that the show do in order to move forward and avoid some of the distractions that they would have had otherwise.

It has also been revealed that the sixth season will be exclusively based on Robin Wright's character, Claire Underwood.

"We were really excited we could get to an agreement", Sarandos said Monday at UBS's Global Media and Communications Conference in NY, according to Variety. Perhaps, more importantly, it means 2,000 people who work in the Baltimore area will continue to have work and not be punished for the misconduct of one person.

Lingard, De Gea lead Man Utd past Arsenal
'I am not Pochettino, I am Arsene Wenger , ' he said. "We scored two quick goals but at the end of the first half we lost control of the game".

Here's to Robin Wright getting even more screen time in the final year of House of Cards. The announcement was made following a number of allegations levelled against the actor.

The Chief Content Officer for the movie streaming service said that the eight-episode arc will "bring closure" for fans of the shrewd political series.

Last week, the production company, MRC, told the cast and crew the suspension of Netflix' first major original show would be extended through December 8 but said the crew would be paid during the break. Spacey was officially suspended from the show early last month.

The series ended season five with Wright's Claire Underwood as president and unwilling to pardon her husband as originally planned.

He said he didn't recall it, but allegations by other men followed.
