Scott Frost Named Husker Head Football Coach
The reports came shortly after Central Florida defeated Memphis 62-55 in double overtime to win the American Athletic Conference championship to finish the season a ideal 12-0. He said they looked excited.
At a press conference on the third floor of Memorial Stadium in Lincoln Sunday afternoon, the program's 33rd head coach said "I can't say how special it is for me, a kid from Nebraska".
"I am thrilled that Scott is returning to his alma mater to lead the Husker football program", Moos said in a statement.
"This is a celebration for the University of Nebraska and for Husker football, certainly a celebration of bringing one of our own home, a favorite son".
"There was a formula that worked here for a long time and times have changed a little but some of those same things are what is going to make this work again".
"They should give you time off after the season to make a decision, but they don't", Frost said when asked about the reports he had accepted the job.
Moos said Frost was the only person he offered the job.
BMW's all-new i8 Roadster makes LA debut However, both have an improved electric range - the Coupe can travel 55km on electric power only, while the Roadster can do 53km. Components on the new i8 Roadster's convertible roof mechanism are made out of aluminum using a new 3D printing process.
And he said the time to do that is right. He wanted to talk to his players first. This season was fun.
Frost played for and coached under some of the top coaches around.
Frost was a former Huskers quarterback under legendary coach Tom Osborne.
In the National Football League he played for Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick with the New York Jets and Jon Gruden with Tampa Bay. He also spent time at Northern Iowa as linebackers coach and defensive coordinator in 2007 and 2008.
Coming off leading his UCF Knights team to a conference championship on Saturday he said, "I don't know that I'll ever have a better year than 2017 but I'm going to do my best to make that happen". The Knights were 0-12 the year before, but finished 6-6 his first season and went to a bowl game.
In addition to head coaching, Frost spent time at OR as wide receivers coach from 2009-13 before being promoted to offensive coordinator from 2013-15.
Frost will leave UCF for Nebraska where he will coach the Cornhuskers.

Clemson leads college playoff pack, but Alabama is lurking
The system would rank Wisconsin and Clemson as No. 1 and No. 2 with Auburn, Georgia, and Alabama on the outside looking in. Looks like it, especially if Auburn wins the SEC , but it likely will require a loss by either Wisconsin or Oklahoma .
