Trump Should Worry About Flynn Talking To Mueller If He's 'Done Something Bad'

Trump denounces allegations of Russian election meddling as 'phony Democrat excuse for losing'

Speculation about Flynn cooperating with Mueller's probe spiked last month when the special counsel hit former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort with an indictment that included money laundering allegations. A lawyer for the former national security adviser reportedly met with the team of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Robert Kelner, a lawyer for Flynn, was unavailable to comment.

Donald Trump should be anxious about Special Counsel Robert Mueller's questioning of Michael Flynn if the president has "done bad things", according to former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.

President Trump fired Flynn less than a month into his role as national security adviser.

His comments come several days after Bharara commented about Flynn following reports that his lawyers had ended an information-sharing agreement with Trump's attorneys amid the probe into Russia's alleged interference in the USA election.

Trump Hits a Favorite Punching Bag, CNN
Fox's Laura Ingraham, for example, played along with Trump's idea for a "fake news" contest: "This is really amusing ". Since the tape's publication, Trump has been accused of sexual assault by several women, NY magazine reports.

Flynn is facing federal, congressional, and military investigations into undisclosed payments from foreign governments, including Russian Federation and Turkey. "No one should draw the conclusion that this means anything about General Flynn cooperating against the president", Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow told reporters in a statement.

That was sparked by the revelation, first reported by the New York Times on Wednesday, that lawyers for Flynn have told lawyers for Trump that they are no longer communicating with them about Mueller's investigation.

Pressure on Flynn to cooperate with investigators increased after prosecutors began focusing on his son, Michael G. Flynn, ABC News reported, citing sources familiar with the investigation.

The decision could be a sign that Flynn is moving to cooperate or negotiate a deal for himself. Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel, declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.
