Though the decision of the British censors may appear like a moment of triumph for the beleaguered cast and crew of the film which has been facing abuse, threats of violence and even death in India, the approval for screening has also left the filmmakers of Padmavati in a piquant situation. "If you look at the January schedule, there's only one major release, and that's Padman". However, the movie got cleared by the United Kingdom censor board and that too without any single cut, but they are just waiting for the censor board clearance in India and till then the makers will not release the movie anywhere. Moreover, the insurance cover comes into effect only after the film's theatrical release.

Previously, Haryana BJP's Chief Media Coordinator, Suraj Pal Amu was offering a reward of INR 10 crore for beheading the film's lead actor Deepika Padukone and director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The court will hear an advocate's plea against the release of the movie in the foreign countries on Tuesday, November 28.

Earlier scheduled to arrive in cinema halls on December 1, the release date of the film has been postponed by the makers till further notice. The film is not allowed to display the film from the Sancer Board.

My son has built up enough character that one bad decision doesn't define him. "Then I would've said, 'Thank you Mr. I have to know what somebody is doing before I say 'thank you.' I'm not just going to go around saying thank you".

Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed "Padmavati", whose release has been postponed amid the protests in India, has been cleared by British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) for the United Kingdom audience.

The movie that features Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor is distributed internationally by Paramount Pictures.
