Dr Larry Nassar 54 appears in court for a plea hearing

Aly Raisman has taken to social media following Larry Nassar's guilty plea and sentencing on seven accounts of sexual assault.

While Douglas didn't go into detail surrounding her assault, she did say, "I didn't publicly share my experiences as well as many other things because for years we were conditioned to stay silent and honestly some things were extremely painful".

Nassar now faces a minimum of 25 years in prison as part of that same plea bargain.

New comments from Gabby Douglas are a stark contrast from her thoughts last week.

"It is our responsibility as women to dress modestly and be classy. Larry is digusting. Larry is a MONSTER not a doctor", she wrote.

USA Gymnastics has received sexual misconduct complaints against 54 coaches as well but has not released them.

In addition to serving as USA Gymnastics physician through four Olympic Games, Nassar was the team physician for the Michigan State University gymnastics and women's crew teams as well as an associate professor at MSU's College of Osteopathic Medicine.

According to CNN, as of July, Nassar has been charged with a total of "22 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and 11 counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct at the state level".
