Pakistan allows Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet his wife on 'humanitarian grounds'

"The government of Pakistan has chose to arrange a meeting of Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav with his wife, in Pakistan, purely on humanitarian grounds", a two-para statement from the ministry said.

"A Note Verbale to the present result has been sent to the Indian High Commission in national capital, these days (10 November)", he said.

Pakistan government has allowed former Indian Navy Officer Kulbhushan Jadhav serving death sentence there to meet his wife on "humanitarian grounds".

The Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent and Naval Officer 41558Z Commander Kulbhushan Jhadav alias Hussain Mubarak Patel was arrested by Pakistani law enforcement agencies on March 3, 2016 after he illegally crossed over into Pakistan.

India has repeatedly asked Pakistan for consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav who has been awarded death sentence by a Pakistan army court for alleged "involvement in espionage and terrorist activities in Pakistan".

Eagle High School honors veterans
The program will begin at 9:00 am on Friday, November 10th in the high school gymnasium and will last approximately one hour. Saturday, November 11, the honor guard will present a remembrance ceremony at Hillcrest Cemetery in Deer Lodge.

The Pakistan government has so far not responded to a request made in April by Jadhav's mother, Avantika Jadhav, to meet her son.

Pakistan authorities had claimed that they had arrested Jadhav from Baluchistan and he was engaged in subversive activities and espionage.

But, India moved to International Court of Justice and in major victory, the ICJ stayed Jadhav's death sentence in May this year. Pakistan will submit counter memorial on or before December 13, 2017.

Jatin Desai said that at the same time, we request Pakistan government to allow parents of young innocent Hamid Ansari to meet him. As India took the case to International Court of Justice (ICJ) in May, Pakistan even told the United Nations court that "Pakistan doesn't see the merit in a state which sends a spy and is seeking access to a tool for terror".

India, which completely rejected Pakistan's charges, reputedly sought consular access to Jadhav.
