Autopsy shows son of Eric Bolling died from drug overdose
"Just received some tragic news from Coroner in Colorado", Bolling tweeted Thursday.
His death came hours after Fox News announced the network had chose to part ways with his father, who had most recently co-hosted "The Specialists" and served as a contributor on the network for a decade.
Former Fox News host Eric Bolling's son, who was found dead in his apartment in Boulder, Colorado, Sept. 8, died due to an overdose of a mix of cocaine and the painkiller fentanyl, autopsy results revealed.
In a New York Times podcast on October 23, O'Reilly said, "Eric Bolling's son is dead".
In tweets Thursday, Eric Sr. also wrote: "We must fight against this national epidemic, too many innocent victims".
The report stated he had a "history of drug abuse and white powdery substance discovered at the scene".
2/ Adrienne and I thank you for your continued prayers and support. Bolling was also among a wave of Fox employees accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour after Fox broke its relationship with Roger Ailes, the network's longtime chair. Just the night before, the local Rotary Club had discussed bringing in a speaker to the high school and elementary schools to educate students about the dangers of opioids, said Cywinski.
The newly released coroner's report appears to contradict that account, indicating significant levels of fentanyl and cyclopropyl fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that was linked to a sting of fatal overdoses in Georgia this summer. The Bergen County's Prosecutor's office reports that 244 overdoses have occurred in the county as of July, with 206 of these cases being related to opioids. "The coroner has in fact indicated to us that they believe it was an accident".
