After BSNL, Micromax Now Partners With Vodafone and Launches Bharat 2 Ultra Smartphone at Just Rs. 999
Under this partnership, Bharat 2 Ultra will be up for grabs at Rs 2,899, and users will get a cash back of Rs 1,900 at the end of 36 months or three years.
While many phone manufacturers are focusing on the smartphone segment, the feature phone market has been left largely untapped. The smartphone "Bharat2 Ultra" is a new smartphone under Micromax's successful 4G smartphone "Bharat series" that aims to bring better camera, battery and display options for the new smartphone users in the most affordable category.
There have been no set and specified plans for the handset itself apart from the said offer so the customers can recharge with any existing plans offered by Vodafone itself. Under the Vodafone and Micromaxpartnership, interested users on Vodafone network or even new customers can buy the new Bharat-2 Ultra 4G smartphone at Rs. 2,899, and will have to recharge it with at least Rs. 150 per month for the next 36 months. "This will help fulfill the aspirations of several million phone users across the country who desire a smartphone but couldnt afford one", Vodafone India, Associate Director? It is the sixth phone in Micromax'sBharat lineup of devices. This brings the effective price of the handset at Rs 999. Earlier, there were speculations that Micromax will priceBharat 2 at Rs. 2,999 but, now it has been spotted again at a price tag of Rs. 3,499. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box. It will come with data and calling plans from Vodafone. Now with Bharat 2 Ultra smartphone, Micromax is clearly aiming at the segment of Indian population who still can not afford to switch from a feature phone to a smartphone.
Rahul Sharma, Co-author, Micromax, "This organization with Vodafone will help acquire the following period of cell phone selection by hand-holding buyers to overhaul them from include cell phones to cell phones".
Bharat-2 Ultra features a 4-inch WVGA show and is motorized by quad-center Spreadtrum SC9832 processor timed at 1.3GHz combined with 512MB RAM and an internal storage of 4GB. There is a 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front-facing camera. We believe that greater device affordability and low cost data packs will drive increased smartphone adoption, as there is still a huge gap. The device also comes with different camera modes like scene, frame and burst which at the entry level of smartphones is a feature that users will enjoy.
