The two-time MVP appeared to be angry that the official didn't call a foul on his lay-up attempt. Officials also tossed Kevin Durant a few moments later when the forward tried to protest Wall's previous decision.
"I didn't throw my mouthpiece at the ref".
Obviously frustrated for multiple reasons, Curry launched his mouthpiece at a referee late in the quarter on the road, and got booted from the game for his efforts.
Curry had 37 points in the contest.
"I think he should be suspended eight, maybe 10 games for that", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said sarcastically after the game. "It endangered thousands of people in the stands".
Trump Offered Family Of Killed Soldier $25000 And Didn't Follow Through
Separately, Trump has feuded with a congresswoman over her account of a call he made to the widow of another soldier. He intimated that previous presidents, Barack Obama specifically, didn't reach out to families as much as he did.
Asked to explain what happened, Durant said: "I felt Steph got fouled on that drive and I let [the referee] know about it and he threw me out".
Shortly afterwards, as both players were walking to the locker room, Durant could be seen trash-talking with Grizzlies fans and showing them his ring finger, presumably to indicate that he has a championship ring and the Grizzlies do not. Curry hit a fan when he first threw the guard in the 2016 NBA Finals, and no suspension came down for that issue.
After the game, Curry took responsibility for throwing the mouthpiece but denied that he was throwing it at the referee intentionally.
Last year's regular-season most valuable player also made it known that while he didn't believe his behavior (his first ejection from a regular -eason game) warranted a suspension, he thought there was a good chance he could receive a fine from the National Basketball Association league office.
