Thieves broke into the pop icon's home at roughly 3 a.m. on Thursday and stole $50,000 worth of items, TMZ reported.

Mariah Carey's fans and friends are reportedly anxious about her emotional stability after the pop superstar shared a freakish video rant about her new song on social media. While the thieves didn't make off with any of the hitmaker's jewels, they DID scoop up several of the A-lister's purses and sunglasses.

In any event, we're told no one was home at the time - Mariah is in NYC - and although the burglars tripped a silent alarm. her security didn't discover the break-in until about 6 or 7 AM.
