Common Thinks Dalls Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Has Slave Owner Mentality

Other view: Jerry Jones prized by both sides in debate over NFL protests

Jerry Jones said telling Cowboys players to stand for the national anthem or not play is nothing new.

Jones said his statements were created to play the bad guy and deflect attention away from the frustrated players, according to a report.

"If there is anything that is disrespectful to the flag then we will not play", Jones told the players Sunday, according to Dallas News.

Local 100 announced its complaint on Facebook, writing that the union aims "to stop owner, Jerry Jones, from threatening players with benching or termination for exercising their right to concerted activity under the National Labor Relations Act".

Meanwhile, Jones told CBS Sports Radio's 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday that players are still free to express themselves, with one caveat: "If we're going to have any recognition, it needs to be before the anthem".

Puerto Rico Gov.: Puerto Rico needs equal Federal response
Along with innumerable others, Weaver was disgusted with Trump's treatment of the citizens of the unincorporated US territory. Mapp said the island was making progress in its recovery from Hurricane Maria and expected schools to reopen on Tuesday.

Jones has stepped up his criticism in recent days of players' national anthem protests meant to draw attention to racial inequality and has pledged to bench players who refuse to stand during The Star-Spangled Banner. And that happens with our players and our coaches each and every day - situations they have with their families, whether they're health concerns or some of the off-field issues that we all deal with in our lives. The team and the National Football League declined comment on the filing. When the anthem was performed, they stood arm-in-arm with the players.

He said players have voiced their opinions to him. "The players are here to serve me, they will do what I want no matter how much I pay them". "I think Mr. Jones should just say, 'I stepped out of line.' Fine".

Bailey said the team's focus did not appear to be affected Wednesday. That decision came after Donald Trump had called players who protested "sons of bitches". "So in that sense, yeah, I think we're definitely a unified group".

"I was listening to my music", Scandrick said.

"The word that comes to mind, and I don't care who doesn't like me using it, is "plantation", he said. "The message, it will be out".
