GETTY Alvaro Morata has been in great form for Chelsea

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata

Morata, who has scored six goals in seven Premier League games for his new club, pulled up 10 minutes before half-time in the 1-0 defeat by Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, complaining of discomfort in his left thigh.

It was initially thought that Morata would be able to return to action after the worldwide break, but the Spanish Football Federation have confirmed that the 24-year-old suffered a grade two hamstring tear that will likely keep him out for all of October plus two weeks into November. I don't think it's serious.

The Spanish national team have revealed the extent of Alvaro Morata's injury after suffering a hamstring injury (via The Metro).

Morata will now return to Chelsea, where he will be scanned again, but losing the record signing for any length of time will be considerable headache for Conte.

Spain have confirmed the injury after the player was assessed in a Madrid hospital.

U.S. defence expert warns Australia to strengthen defences against North Korea attack
Defense One said that if deterrence fails, those interceptors would be the last line of defense against a North Korean missile. Kim responded that Trump was "mentally deranged" and a "dotard" who would "pay dearly" for his threats.

It has been confirmed that Morata will be out for around two weeks which could make him a doubt for Chelsea's next Premier League match against Crystal Palace on 14 October.

Tellingly, Conte opted to replace Morata with Willian against City which only increased theories that he does not trust Michy Batshuayi in big games.

The forward has been in positive form for the English champions, scoring six Premier League goals and one in the Champions League so far.
