Chargers Prepare to Face Eagles

Copycat League: Will Teams Attack Eagles' D the Way Giants Did?

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz using his size while carrying the ball drags Giants linebacker Jonathan Casillas along for a ride Sunday Sept. 24 2017 in Philadelphia’s 27-24 win over the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field

A long, scenic trip across the country awaits the Philadelphia Eagles (2-1) as they travel to the claustrophobic confines of a soccer stadium to take on the winless Los Angeles Chargers (0-3) at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

The Rams are one of the NFL's exciting stories this season with with a pair of young stars, quarterback Jared Goff and running back Todd Gurley, leading an offense that has scored 107 points through three games.

"He's a great competitor", said Chargers outside linebacker Kyle Emanuel, Wentz's teammate at North Dakota State.

With a few days to reflect on a performance he regarded among the worst in his 12 seasons as a starter, Rivers had plenty to talk about Wednesday.

This year, you won't be seeing quite as much pink on the field, but we're still going to begin finding out which teams are for real, and which ones are going to fade into the background as the season rolls on. Given Rivers' history, if he throws an interception early he has a tendency to pile them up as the game goes on. Even in holding the Giants out of the end zone for three quarters, they never put any serious pass rush against what has been a lackluster NY offensive line.

The Chargers were blessed by the National Football League schedule makers to play three straight games at home, and though the crowds haven't been as pro-Chargers as they would've liked, it was still a great opportunity to get off to a good start this season.

The Chargers NEED to win this game. Can Philly's defense hold strong without one of its best - and highest paid - players? "His missed a potential game-winning attempt from 44 yards in a 19-17 loss to Miami in the Chargers" home opener two weeks ago.

This whole Los Angeles Chargers thing isn't necessarily working out.

By electing Henry Bolton Ukip has pulled back from the brink
UKIP should not become a one-issue party centred around Islam, the party's leader in the Welsh Assembly Neil Hamilton has said. He promised to pressure the government into a hard Brexit . "However, it is not the end of the line for us".

Some players might join him at the meeting, he said.

The Chargers will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month during the game.

What is going to be very intriguing about this game is the stadium in which it will be played in. I don't know if Rivers will be able to replicate those numbers - his receiving corps isn't almost as talented - but he won't need to be that good in order to hit the over here.

Think of it like this in Hollywood terms: losing this game puts the Chargers in the "former D-list celebrity who has to show up on reality TV shows" category.

"Let's just win a game", Rivers said.

The Eagles were really lucky to survive last week with that win, and the Chargers backs are against the wall. He did manage 67 yards and a touchdown last week as Doug Pederson had him split carries with Wendall Smallwood.

- Eagles receivers have six drops in the first three games, which is pretty much the same pace as previous year, when they finished with 31.
