Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders shared the request with the media and said the White House would grant the wish.

"I would like to show the nation what young people like me are ready for", Frank wrote at the time.

An 11-year-old, lawn-care-obsessed Virginia boy mowed the White House lawn on Friday - and was so focused on his work that he barely budged when President Trump ventured over during the gardening.

He spent the morning cutting the White House grass after writing to the president over the summer offering his services. "Maybe he'll be president".

Because to his right could be seen a young boy mowing the White House lawn, accompanied by two men. He also offered to bring "extra fuel" for the lawnmower.

When given a push mower, he got to work trimming the grass in the Rose Garden, outside the Oval Office.

Later, the president pat Frank on the back and called him the "future of our country", according to pool reports. "I think that's pretty fair".
