POURING Britain is set to be hit by deluges and powerful 70mph winds
Strong gusts across England and Wales are expected on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning as autumnal weather sweeps in.
Met Eireann have issued a weather warning for the south of the country that comes into effect at 3pm on Tuesday (11.09.17) afternoon.
The Met Office says that the heavy rain has the potential to cause flooding on the transport network, with spray and hard driving conditions due to the combination of rain and wind.
Gusts up to around 75mph could also be possible in exposed locations such as the coast and hills in these areas, the Met Office said.
The Met Office has issued a weather warning, which is now not in effect in Dorset.
Gusts of up to 70mph will be possible, especially across north Wales and northern England.
Heavy showers are expected throughout Monday and overnight into Tuesday.
