West Ham without four for Huddersfield game; Bilic has two available to return

The Hammers were playing their first home game of the season on Monday after having to travel for their opening three matches.

West Ham grabbed their first Premier League win of the season courtesy of two goals in five minutes in a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield at a drenched London Stadium.

West Ham fans were not happy with Slaven Bilic's decision to substitute Javier Hernandez in the second-half of the 2-0 win over Huddersfield on Monday night.

With the hosts struggling to create opportunities, Bilic introduced Andre Ayew for Hernandez on 64 minutes.

"We've got the first points, so let's work hard and try to get more".

West Ham face West Brom on Saturday and Hart admitted: "It's not going to be one for the football purists, is it?"

Arkansas' Bret Bielema on TCU loss
Their team is very similar to the one we just played, and get a lot better at the details, especially in the critical moments. Topping the rushing list for the Frogs was Darius Anderson, who racked up 106 yards rushing with a touchdown.

In the build-up to the West Ham v Huddersfield match, it was widely reported that Slaven Bilic could lose his job were the Hammers to have been defeated.

It was only Huddersfield's first defeat on their return to the top division after a 45-year hiatus, but Wagner is keen on setting a high benchmark early in the campaign.

For a long time it seemed as though West Ham's dominance would not be enough as they spurned a number of good opportunities. "It was not really about how we played, it was about getting three points and thankfully we have done that".

"The goals were unlucky for us but I'm angry about our performance". We were second best in more or less every area.

"We weren't courageous enough, confident enough, we made so many unforced errors, so many poor decisions". It wasn't pretty, but for West Ham and Bilic to get off the bottom, it was exactly what was needed. I am unsure if we were nervous.
