Defensive tackle Aaron Donald has reported to the Rams facility as of Saturday morning and passed his physical during the team's walk-thru.

The Rams play the Indianapolis Colts in the opener on Sunday.

"He is not ruled out, but right now he's not here", Rams coach Sean McVay told TheRams.com. Donald had missed all of the preseason holding out for a better contract and is transitioning to DE from DT in a new defensive scheme, but has been working out and should be up to speed soon.

It's yet to be seen how much money Donald will get via the holdout, but the fact that he's reported to the team is an indication that the Rams and Donald's camp are having talks head into the right direction.

Scotland's win has taken their points tally to 14 from eight qualifying matches. And the magnitude of the crunch clash is not lost on Hearts defender Berra.

Donald will be on the Rams' active roster Sunday despite not playing. "But in the meantime we've got to get ready to play a football game and we know the Colts are getting ready as well".

Donald is widely regarded as one of the top defensive players in the league through his first three campaigns as he leads all defensive tackles with 28.0 sacks and 57.0 tackles for loss over that span.

Donald is seeking a contract that would make him the NFL's highest-paid defensive player. Donald would have lost $106,014 every game he sat out, but it appears he has avoided that outcome. He was the AP's defensive rookie of the year as a first-round pick in St. Louis in 2014, and the 6-foot dynamo has only improved. They can include him on the 53-man roster - he's now on the did not report list - or they can ask for a roster exemption, similar to the one the Steelers got with Le'Veon Bell.
