The Celtics sent the Cavaliers a 2020 second-round pick Wednesday to complete the deal, which also included Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and the Nets' 2018 first-round selection. Hayward signed as a free agent in July.

Kyrie Irving is heading to the Boston Celtics after 3 straight NBA Finals appearances with the Cavs. Cleveland would have gotten Irving back.

All-Star point guards Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas might not have switched teams just yet. To be able to share those moments, with just everyone in Cleveland and everyone in OH, and doing something that was just an unbelievable experience for all of us.

LeBron James will be without Kyrie Irving in Cleveland this season.

"Of learning the hard way", Irving said. "There will be nothing but love that I have for the organization and what we got to be a part of". "And that's going after something bigger than myself". The Celtics now have a player to give the ball to late in games.

Virginia National Guard helicopters, soldiers heading to Texas
Harvey bounced back into the Gulf again briefly before making its final landfall early Wednesday morning near Lake Charles, La. Forecasters say if will come ashore again around the Texas/Louisiana border, and Louisiana is bracing for the storm.

While that was great in the National Basketball Association world, there was one significant problem: National Basketball Association 2K18 had been promoting Kyrie Irving as the game's cover athlete and he was donning Cavs garb. "I can't believe all the feats we reached". The All-Star point guard revealed that he has not spoken to James since he asked to be traded, but focused on the positive when he reflected on his time with his former teammate.

Thomas suffered a season ending hip injury in last season's Eastern Conference Finals and his decision to not have surgery posed concerns for the Cavaliers that Thomas could miss significant time to start the season. Together Ainge hopes they can form a championship core along with Al Horford, the marquee acquisition of last offseason, and youngsters and Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Join the Chowder and Champions team! Thomas left Cleveland Friday evening after taking the physical. But by managing to successfully pull off a deal that sends a dissatisfied player and gain such a package that prepares you for the anticipated post-Lebron era, Cleveland gets what they need.

While most of the questions at today's introductory press conference were directed toward Kyrie, Gordon Hayward didn't go unnoticed up there either.

It was a partnership that nearly happened in 2013, when Hayward visited Cleveland as a restricted free agent.

Now they have another chance. "So it was bound to happen at some point in time".
