Trump also repeated his campaign pledge vowing that the US would proceed in building "THE WALL" while "Mexico will pay for it through reimbursement/other".

"In this case, what's good for produce growers in Georgia and Florida - states with growing seasons that overlap with Mexico's - could prove damaging to those in states like California and Washington, where many have benefited from NAFTA's open borders by investing in Mexico or relying heavily on the country's export market", said Politico.

"One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the wall", Trump said Monday.

"I have to have Mexico pay for the wall - I have to".

He said the wall was needed because of Mexico's "tremendous crime problem", saying the country is "number two or three in the world" in crime. "We may fund it through the United States, but ultimately Mexico will pay for the wall". "Mexico will pay for it through reimbursement/other", Trump tweeted.

Stanton hits 50th home run
Stanton became the first National League player to reach 50 homers since Prince Fielder hit 50 for Milwaukee in 2007. Stats: Szczur is hitting.219 (32 for 146) with three home runs, 22 runs scored and 16 RBIs in 91 games.

Timothy Wise of Tufts University's Global Development and Environment Institute said Trump is conflicted because different bases of support, such as the Rust Belt and the agricultural heartland, would see disparate consequences if NAFTA disappeared. "Why wouldn't they be", President Trump said. "Resign and you will be popular everywhere", said Fred Eisenberger. But let's say this is the first natural disaster, and we're seeing how he's responding: instead of the drop-everything approach most presidents would take to emphasize the severity to a major American city, he is pushing his nonsense agenda in between pretending to be engaged in the recovery efforts. Sheriff Joe loves our country. "And Sheriff Joe was very unfairly treated by the Obama administration, especially right before an election, an election that he would have won", Trump said. "I think that Congress will feel very much the way I feel".

Trump also defended his decision to announce the pardon as Hurricane Harvey bore down on the Texas coast.

"You've got to remember that if the steel companies are helped by higher prices for steel, the vehicle companies get hurt by the higher price of steel and are made less competitive worldwide", Trachtman said. "We repeatedly asked the White House for the president's source, but we received no response". The North American neighbors are the two leading US sources of food and ag imports and rank No. 2 and No.3, respectively, behind China as the largest customer for USA farm products.

The U.S. dollar, which slumped on Friday after U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen failed to mention monetary policy at a meeting of central bankers in Wyoming, extended its losses to 16-month lows against a basket of major currencies.

In addition, Trump said during a campaign-style rally in Phoenix on August 22 that NAFTA will "probably" be terminated.
