Trump goes after Blumenthal: 'He was a phony Vietnam con artist'

Trump's tweets came soon after the CNN interview in which the senator accused the administration of "politicizing" the Department of Justice and argued that the investigation of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation "must be pursued".

Trump wrote similar tweets about Blumenthal in February during the nomination of now-Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., in Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

Richard Blumenthal, making a number of claims against the Connecticut Democrat, including that he had lied about serving in Vietnam. Kelly, Trump's original Department of Homeland Security secretary, was imposing "military discipline" on the White House, the New York Times said.

What is Blumenthal's military record?

The problem with these statements, primarily, is that Senator neither served in Vietnam nor, obviously, did he "come back". Instead he said plainly that he had misspoken, and he apologized in a normal tone of voice, not by "crying" and "begging".

Trump never served in the military, despite being eligible during the Vietnam War.

He never, however, talked of "his Vietnam battles and conquests" or "how courageous he was". Blumenthal really have a leg to stand on in this fight.

Punjab CM greets people on Raksha Bandhan
The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the state. On this day, people share their Raki Image on their social media. She also added that the meaning of Rakhi is now changing.

"Protecting Robert Mueller's independence is vital to his credibility and capability to uncover the truth about criminality at the highest levels", Blumenthal said.

Throughout out the day, Trump has been ripping on Blumenthal by invoking the senator's 2010 scandal where he misrepresented his Marine Corps service by saying he participated in the Vietnam War.

How have Blumenthal and others reacted?

While the president might be cooling off at his Bedminister, New Jersey golf club, things definitely heated up on Twitter. Blumenthal served in the Fourth Civil Affairs Group in D.C. and the Sixth Motor Transport Battalion in CT.

Who is McMahon? She is the co-founder and former CEO of Politico reported about Trump's receiving an honorary Purple Heart in 2016, and the topic proved for plenty of discussion on social media today. She now serves as a Trump appointee as the 25th administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Blumenthal isn't just ethically deficient. And after I win, I will be so presidential that you won't even recognize me.
