French police seek vehicle after soldiers hit in Paris
Police hunting a driver who rammed his BMW into a group of French soldiers in western Paris, before speeding off, have arrested a suspect.
The Paris Police Authority announced Wednesday that police units have launched an operation in the area to find the vehicle that attacked the soldiers on route.
Earlier, six soldiers were wounded after a vehicle was driven at them near their base in Levallois-Perret.
France's police department said in a message on Twitter that a search for the vehicle was under way.
Levallois Mayor Patrick Balkany denounced on BFM what he called an "odious attack" and said it was "without a doubt deliberate".
They were part of the 7,000-strong anti-terrorism Sentinelle force set up in January 2015 which sees armed, uniformed soldiers patrol the streets and guard high-risk areas such as tourist sites and religious buildings.
The incident took place around 8 a.m. local time outside military barracks in the northwest of the city.
