WASHINGTON -Amid escalating tensions over North Korea, President Donald Trump promised "fire and fury like the world has never seen" if North Korea continues to threaten nuclear action against the United States.
"He has been very threatening - beyond a normal statement", Mr. Trumpsaid of North Korea's Kim Jong-un. "They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen".
The latest moves by Pyongyang point to a likely missile test in the days ahead or it could be a defense measure should the U.S. Navy dispatch more warships to the Korean peninsula, officials said.
The United States imposed tougher sanctions against North Korea last week. "If it believes it is only North Korea rather than the US and South Korea as well to blame for the nuclear issue, this ill-fitting mindset will not help solve the crisis", the nationalist publication said. The sanctions could slash North Korea's $3 billion annual export revenue by a third.
China's foreign minister said that he had advised his North Korean counterpart not to "provoke the global society's good will by conducting missile launching or nuclear tests".
Two officials familiar with the document, which was completed last month, verified the contents to the Post.
The findings would put North Korea's nuclear program years ahead of projections, according to some analysts, and bring it closer to its long-sought goal of becoming a nuclear power that can strike the U.S.
At times the administration seemed to signal, nearly casually, that it was considering a preemptive strike on North Korea, which could trigger a land war on the Korean peninsula and the deaths of tens of thousands of people.
Without adding any comment of his own, Trump, who regularly decries leaks to the media, retweeted to his more than 35 million followers a link to the day-old story, which was featured Tuesday morning on "Fox & Friends", a program on the Fox News network.
Trump's comments came at a meeting at his Bedminster golf club, where he was leading a briefing on opioid addiction, according to the Associated Press.
"North Korea is not showing any evidence it plans to halt its missile tests", an unnamed USA official told Fox News. Experts on the crisis repeated a call made by the Trump administration in recent months: China, North Korea's top trading partner and protector, must step in. "We must be tough & decisive!", the USA leader wrote on Twitter.
Political Communication in the Trump White House
The memo also encourages the communications team to humanize President Trump and bolster his "funny and irreverent side". Mr Scaramucci was also very vocal about leaks coming out of the White House, saying he wanted to "kill all the leakers".

With Swift in court, jury selection proceeds in groping case
Mueller, who also attended jury selection, denies the allegation and says the photo only shows him trying to jump into the frame. The trial is scheduled to last through August 17, but may not fit in that time frame. "Swift or put his hand under her skirt".
SE Asian ministers endorse sea code framework
China, which relies on low-priced labor from North Korea, has been reluctant to restrict its acceptance of North Korean workers. North Korea has embassies and some businesses in several South-east Asian countries, some of which trade goods with Pyongyang.
