A bride in the USA has spent her wedding night behind bars after pulling a concealed gun from her wedding dress and pointing it at her husband's head.

Kate Elizabeth Prichard, 25, allegedly got into a heated spat with her new hubby outside a hotel in Tennessee, US when she brandished the pistol.

A witness told law enforcement the couple had been drinking and arguing outside of the motel.

While at first the couple denied having being involved in the almost fatal event, police recovered shell casings and further evidence, which led to Prichard's arrest. This was only after she realized her weapon didn't have any bullets in it when she tried to shoot her new husband.

Prichard has been charged with aggravated domestic assault. The tattoo was dedicated to Burton, saying that she was "property of J-Rod" her then soon-to-be husband's nickname, according to The Smoking Gun.

The bride did post a $15,000 bond. Murfreesboro Police officials said the case will be sent to the Grand Jury.
