The Infrastructure Crisis
Thanks to yesterday’s conversation about streetcars, I got into an email exchange with Jason Roberts who pointed me to this informative PBS documentary about the future of transportation in America. It is a good primer on the national infrastructure situation, and highlights the efforts of a number of cities, Portland, Denver, and New York among them, to balance all the issues – funding, private property rights, carbon emissions, etc. – that face the future transportation planning. It’s not terribly long, and is worth a view.
